Landscape design and architecture
With Living Colour Landscapes, you gain 25 years landscaping, architecture and art experience with the professional expertise to help you with every step of the garden design process including, if need be, council applications.
Garden design consultation
Our garden design service begins with a consultation, where we meet with you at your home and discuss your budget, design ideas, possible materials, features, finishes and planting options. It’s very much a partnership, where we walk around your garden or outdoor area and talk in detail about what’s really important to you, how you plan to use the space and ways to create a natural connection between your architecture and the landscape. This provides the insight we need to develop an innovative landscape design that is a unique and practical solution for your garden design project. Our consultation fee is $250 inclusive of GST, payable at the time of consultation.
Landscape design plans
After your initial consultation we can then develop more detailed landscape design plans, with planting and material schedules, lighting layout and details and elevations of key features. 3d modelling is also available and often a helpful tool to better understand how your landscape design works. Once your landscape design plans are completed we can then develop your landscape quotation. If your project requires further construction details and engineering drawings or council approval, we’ll let you know at the time. Fees for landscape design plans start from $2,500 inclusive of GST.
Working drawings for council DA and construction certificates
If your landscaping project does need council approval, we’ll develop further drawings and documentation for a Landscape Development Application and Construction Certificate from your landscape design plans.
Our fee is based on the scale and complexity of the project. With a degree in architecture, Director Meg Oatley has a deep knowledge of planning laws, implementing DCP and LEP guidelines and how councils work. This can often save you a world of unnecessary time, cost and stress.
